We do in home appliance repairs in Macon, Ga. We come to your home to work on your refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ranges, ovens, dishwashers, water heaters, garbage disposals and more. If you have an appliance problem and you’re in Macon, we can take care of that problem.
We work on refrigerators that will not cool, that are leaking, making noises and even getting too cold. Refrigerators go into defrost every 6 – 10 hours or so. When it defrosts a heater will come on to melt the frost off of the coils. This frost turns to water and goes down the drain line to a tray where it evaporates. Sometimes this line will become stopped up and freeze over causing the water to turn to ice again and leak into your floor. This iced over drain line needs to be cleared of debris and your leak problem will be solved. If you’re having any problem with your refrigerator you can count on us to repair that problem.
Washers and dryers have problems too. Washers leak, will not spin, do not clean, rattle, walk around, overfills, and will not start at times. Many times if your washer will not spin you have a bad lid switch. This lid switch is a safety device. If it’s bad just call us to see how to replace it or we can do it for you. If your dryer is acting up, maybe it’s not heating, heating but not drying, squealing, will not turn or any of the other annoying things dryers do when they don’t want to work, call us. Another tip: If your dryer is heating but not drying, check the vent. Make sure it’s not crimped or blocked with lint. Your dryer needs good air flow so the moisture can escape to the outside. Check outside for bird nests.
Ranges (stoves) and ovens have common problems that we repair on a regular basis. Bake elements go out. Burners do not get hot or do not get hot enough. Control panel displays go out and temperature sensors or thermostats go bad. If your oven is not heating it could be a bake element problem. Turn the power to the oven off and the breaker panel. There are two screws on the back wall of the oven that hold the bake element in place. Remove the screws and carefully remove the element slightly from the back. Once you’re able to reach the wires you can disconnect them from the element. Look for burn spots on the element or bring the element to us. We will test it free! If your element is bad just put your new one in the same way the old one came out.
We repair dishwashers. If they will not clean there could be a problem with the spray arm. Sometimes a dishwasher will not come on at all. Many problems with dishwashers are related to the drain. Grease, nails, screws, spoons, and all types of debris can stop up a drain line. When a dishwasher will not drain it will soon start stinking. If you’re having a drain problem I suggest getting it repaired as soon as possible. Check your drain line. If it’s full of grease clean it out. But before you disconnect the drain line get the shop vac and clean out all of the water.
